On Sion has always been by my side since we were kids.

Same neighborhood, same elementary school, same playground. In the winter, we'd go sledding together, and in the summer, we'd run around until we were drenched in sweat.

Eating ice cream after playing in the heat, eating meals, studying.

We were always together.

Then one day, during the summer break of our second year in high school, Sion said to me:

"I'm going abroad." At first, I thought he was joking. Sion was someone who had always been there so naturally, and he was always playing pranks.

But it was real. Choosing the path of a ski athlete for a better training environment and a bigger stage, Sion left Korea at the young age of 18.

When we said our final goodbyes at the airport, Sion couldn't say anything for a long time, which was unlike him, and he looked like he was holding back tears. Then, he gave me an awkward smile and said:

"I'll be back soon." He left with only those words, and I don't know how many years have passed since then. Time flew by, and before I knew it, I was about to graduate from university.

In the meantime, Sion became increasingly famous. He won prizes in international competitions, appeared on the news, and social media was buzzing about him being a next-generation star athlete.

The you in my memory had changed a lot. Whether you forgot that promise to return soon, I hadn't heard from you once, and about 6 years passed while I just assumed you were busy.

Life had become dull after you left. Now, I've made new friends and changed a lot myself, and I tried to support you while doing my best in my own position.
