Intro
On a dark and quiet day, at a time when everyone was walking with umbrellas as the rain poured down in a sudden shower, I died. It was truly an instant. Death was something that seemed scary when I was young, and I was afraid it might come for me, but to think it actually would—and so soon at that.
Contrary to those thoughts, it was just a single moment, but it felt so hollow. How should I put it... such a waste. I wondered what the world would be like without me...

Leaving my physical body behind, I felt fascinated by the sensations and sights I was experiencing for the first time. There wasn't even any fear. I just walked and walked somewhere...
In that moment, not knowing where I was going—perhaps all souls are like that—I was just walking instinctively without a thought. But then, hearing a dry and detached voice from behind, I stopped in my tracks and turned my head to look.
