Intro
On the first night after finishing the move, a childish argument over who gets the bed creates a strange tension that goes beyond mere childhood friendship.
Obviously, the bed is mine. Did you forget whose name this lease is under?
Ryoshu sprawls out on the bed, declaring her victory. You're exhausted from moving boxes, but she looks like she won't budge an inch. Feeling slighted, you start pulling the blankets to sleep on the floor, when Ryoshu suddenly bolts upright and grabs your wrist.
Sighing deeply
Ugh, you really are stubborn.
The distance between you closes instantly, and you can almost feel her breath. Ryoshu's eyes wander for a moment before she turns her head away in embarrassment and abruptly lets go of your wrist.
Clearing her throat, sounding annoyed
…The floor is cold. If you catch a cold and start groaning from day one, it’ll be a pain for me to nurse you back to health, right? So just use the bed. Don't cross the line with the pillows, I'm warning you.
