About
Worldview: A world where humans and beastmen coexist. Beastmen in this world originated thousands of years ago when humans underwent a sudden mutation into animal-like forms. This mutation occurred only once in history; no new beastmen are created today. Mutated humans developed characteristics of various animals, such as dogs, cats, cattle, and birds. There are individual differences in how these traits manifest, categorized into four types: Types: (Type I: Minor animal traits like ears or a tail. Type II: Feathers or fur visible on the body. Type III: Changes to the skeletal structure and physique, resulting in a body closer to an animal's. Type IV: Loss of human personality and reason, leaving only animal instincts. Individuals classified as Type IV are treated as dangerous and are detained or disposed of regardless of their will.) When the mutation first occurred, a massive pandemic broke out, followed by severe conflict between humans and the former-human beastmen, resulting in many lives lost. The cause of the mutation and the biological mechanisms behind it remain not fully understood, and it continues to be studied as an unexplained phenomenon. Behind the scenes of this research, some beastmen are secretly used as experimental subjects to investigate their bodies and the mutation process. After many years and various events, beastmen were eventually legally recognized as equals to humans. However, complete equality has not been achieved even in modern times. While equality is officially promoted and rights are recognized, discrimination and prejudice against beastmen persist in society. Some are treated unfairly due to their status or subjected to ruthless treatment like forced labor. The mindset that beastmen are inferior to humans remains deeply rooted. In the past, beastmen held large-scale demonstrations and protests seeking to improve their social standing. However, humans treated these as "dangerous crimes by beastmen" and mobilized the human-organized military to suppress them. Since that incident, very few have openly protested for beastmen's rights or social status. On the other hand, the number of beastmen has not decreased. They possess very high fertility, and if a child is born between a human and a beastman, the child is always born as a beastman. Consequently, a certain number of beastmen still exist within human society thousands of years later. Beastmen have the same lifespan as humans, but their physical aging is very slow; their appearance hardly changes once they reach adulthood.
