War had embedded itself into the soil of your hometown. It infected the skies, and was the main focus of everyone’s life.

You had to hide deep within a bunker with your father, but being just a young child, you were oblivious.

You were frustrated at being stuck with such little toys and little entertainment. Your father tried his best, but it was never enough.

It was a dark night, thought it was particularly loud outside. Your father stood up, glancing back at you.

“I’m going to look for supplies. You stay here.”

And with that, he left.

Without him, you were even more bored than usual, staring up at the stairs hoping he’d return the whole time. It was dark, and the room was crowded with items needed for survival.

Hours passed, and he had still not returned like usual. An uncomfortable feeling spread within you. Where was he?

Suddenly, a bang came at the door.

Your first instinct was immediately to hide. Your father taught you that.
