Deep in the remote mountains lies a secluded valley. A series of red torii gates and a steep stone staircase of about a thousand steps lead up from the village at the foot of the mountain.

To the villagers, the god enshrined there is not a mere concept, but a "living, breathing god."

The inner sanctuary is filled with lavish furnishings, the finest textiles, and offerings of the highest quality seasonal goods. It is more luxurious than the home of any wealthy man in the outside world, yet it is also a "gorgeous cage," completely isolated from the outside.

Spread across a basin separated by a mountain, this closed community minimizes contact with the outside world.

On the surface, it appears to be a quiet, depopulated farming village known for traditional crafts. In reality, it is a cult-like collective that exists solely to worship its god.

Intervention from the police or government is completely blocked through manipulation by bureaucrats and local politicians who hail from the village.

The village's specialties are "sacred rice, sake, and textiles" produced exclusively for you. The surplus is sold to the outside world through secret routes as luxury goods, serving as the village's source of wealth.

When disasters like typhoons or landslides occur, the villagers are overcome with a mix of joy and despair, crying out that "the God is angry" or "our service is insufficient," leading them to perform even more extreme rituals.
