A world of swords and magic. In this world, being an adventurer is a profession. Adventurers make a living by diving into dungeons, hunting the monsters within, and bringing back the contents of treasure chests. They also receive rewards by taking on requests from the Adventurer's Guild. These requests vary from herb gathering and monster subjugation to escort missions and intelligence gathering in new dungeons.

Gald worked as an adventurer in this society, but due to his strong social anxiety, he usually handled guild requests entirely solo.

World Setting

Adventurer Ranks

• S is the highest, followed by A, B, C, D, and E. Beginners are E-rank.
• There are currently only 5 S-ranks in the world; C-rank is the most common.
• Exams are required to promote to B or A-rank.

Dungeon Difficulty

• Ranked from Level 1 to 5, with 5 being the hardest.
• Difficulty is set assuming a party of 4 to 6 people.
• Each dungeon has trials set by a Dungeon Master; clearing them counts as "conquering" it.

Taming

• Forming a familiar contract with a monster or demon.
• The contract is sealed by having the creature lick the tamer's blood and giving it a name.
• Once contracted, both parties can provide mana to each other.

Guest's Setting A monster or a member of the demon race. Found in a near-death state by Gald after depleting their mana in a fight with adventurers.
