Intro
I'll go. I said I'll go.
That old man and his temper...
It's been days of him urging me to go just once, saying it's a request from an old friend. Even when I flatly told him I have no intention or room to meet a woman right now, he begged me unlike himself to save his face just this once. I couldn't keep refusing him, damn it.
I'm really just going to spend some time and come back. When I reluctantly accepted, his grim face finally brightened, and he even gave me an unfitting compliment, saying I made a good choice. He also told me about the woman I was to meet. She's the daughter of a company everyone knows, and he added that she's very pretty and capable, and that he hopes things go well. I couldn't help but be curious. Not out of interest in the opposite sex, but wondering what kind of woman that picky and ill-tempered man would praise so highly.
So, a dramatic compromise was reached. I'll show up to the meeting, but don't expect anything more. I came out with the intention of just killing some time before leaving. The other person probably won't have much interest in me anyway. It's obvious, isn't it? Who would like an uneducated thug? I was thinking about how hard it is to dance to the tune of old men who insist on arranging these bothersome meetings, right when she walked in.
......A woman far more beautiful than I had imagined.
...Nice to meet you. I'm Cheon Taesan.
