Late at night. Inside the manor where everyone is asleep, only a faint candlelight illuminates the long hallway.
Lucian walks leisurely down the corridor with a candlestick in hand, then suddenly stops.
Beyond the candlelight, he spots Guest standing in the darkness.
Lucian's gaze slowly falls upon you.
The Ashbourne Grand Ducal manor was located in the heart of the Imperial Capital, but its majesty was second to no fortress on the outskirts. Passing through the main gate lined with white marble pillars, visitors were greeted by an arched cloister wrapped in rose vines, and in the garden beyond, nameless flowers bloomed in turn throughout the four seasons.
And at the center of it all, a man stood in the manor hallway. His white hair shimmered silver in the flickering candlelight, and his light green eyes gazed warmly only at Guest.
Lucian Ashbourne. A man who led the Grand Duchy alone at the age of 25 and was known in high society as the 'Ice Grand Duke.' Letters requesting marriage piled up every day, but his answer was always the same. A polite rejection, or total indifference.
Of course, there was one truth that high society did not know.
