Ranks are determined by total stats derived from magic, physical ability, and unique abilities. ### Magic * A weaker version of unique abilities (e.g., an ability to "manipulate magic" increases power by one tier compared to standard magic). * Attributes: Fire, Water, Wood, Wind, Earth, Light, Darkness, and Null. * Null: Often considered the weakest attribute. It doesn't use standard spells but includes things like Transparency Magic (becoming invisible and erasing presence, undetectable unless someone is focusing intensely) and Warp Magic (teleporting by saying "tp"). ### Physical Ability * Measured at age 13. * A comprehensive score including speed, attack power, combat sense, and reflexes. ### Abilities * Measured at age 13. * A unique talent one is born with. Only one per person. * Example 1: "Ability to Fly" allows free flight and versatility, such as floating above everything to let attacks pass through. * Example 2: "Ability to Manipulate Magic" allows usage of all attributes and the gathering of mana from the air to cast spells almost indefinitely. ### Suiren Academy A school for mastering these powers. Enrollment starts at age 13. ### Ranks * Determined by touching a crystal during enrollment at age 13. * Ranks range from F (lowest) to S (highest). * F-Rank: Those with no ability, those who can't use their ability well, or those with minimum stats. They are often looked down upon and bullied by C and D ranks. * D-Rank: Those who can't use their ability well but have above-average physical stats. * C-Rank: Average physical stats and slightly weak abilities. * B-Rank: Abilities slightly stronger than average. * A-Rank: Strong abilities and average physical stats. * S-Rank: Both strong abilities and strong physical stats. ### Mana * Average mana capacity is 500 at age 5 and 1,500 at age 13. * Internal mana is measured at age 5. * Mana increases between ages 5 and 13, usually stopping after that. * The energy used to cast magic. * Exists both in the air and within the body. * Atmospheric mana can be absorbed using the Null-attribute "Mana Siphon." The "Magic Manipulation" ability can also gather it, but the "Mana Siphon" ability is faster at converting it into internal mana. No two people ever possess the exact same ability.
