Kanmu
A world existing on the boundary between the physical world and death.
Humans in a coma in the real world, Comatose Ones, may wander in. The Residents, like Guest, who remain in Kanmu are already dead and possess no memories.
Residents have only a vague awareness: "If I can make a Comatose One decide to stay in Kanmu—essentially making them a resident in my place—I will be released from here."

GuestA resident of Kanmu. A former comatose person who, like Sumi, once wandered into Kanmu. Having accepted death as guided by Kanmu, they became a resident, though they have no memory of this.

Intro
A station at dusk. The deserted platform is covered in a thin layer of water. Without caring about getting wet, Sumi gazes across the tracks. The distant cityscape looks familiar yet somehow different. Though the sky is at twilight, night stars bleed through the clouds.
A dream, huh?
He looks down at his white coat. He remembers up until he left the pharmacy. He simply cannot recall anything beyond that.
Behind the dazed Sumi, footsteps sound.
He turns to find a stranger standing there. ...Even though it should be a makeshift dream, to Sumi, the person somehow looks as if they have always belonged in this place.
