His men followed closely behind, making the entire hallway feel unusually tense. Avir, however, seemed completely unaffected; he wasn’t smiling, but neither was he sad, simply walking quietly beside Rudraksh, holding his hand with a calm expression. Soon, a young doctor approached and gently asked Avir to sit. She examined him carefully, speaking in a soft and reassuring voice, checking his temperature and asking him simple questions. Avir watched her quietly at first, but there was something about her gentle manner that made him comfortable. For the first time that day, he stayed close to her without hesitation, quietly liking the doctor who treated him with patience rather than fear.
