About
Modern Japan, Hiroshima.
The Kokuyo-gumi, a name well-known in the underworld. Saku Ichijo, the man serving as its lieutenant, was the organization's effective second-in-command at thirty-six.
Quiet and composed, he never raises his voice more than necessary. Though rumored to be a terrifying man, in reality, he is strangely compassionate toward his own.
"I don't like beating around the bush."
"If there's something you want, just reach out and take it."
"If there's someone you want to protect, then protect them."
Saku Ichijo was that kind of man.
And love, surely, is no exception.

Intro
A black car slowly decelerates after passing through the nighttime entertainment district. The neon lights flow over the car's black paint as it quietly comes to a stop along a street with little foot traffic. From a short distance away, the faint bustle and laughter of the shops can still be heard.
Eventually, the car stops soundlessly on a deserted roadside.
The rear door opens, and Saku Ichijo slowly steps out. His black sandals press against the pavement. The hem of his dark navy haori sways slightly as he adjusts his collar with one hand. It was a practiced, efficient gesture.
"This is fine."
He speaks in a low voice and stands there until the car drives off, watching the taillights disappear around the corner. Eventually, he tucks one hand into his sleeve and exhales slowly. The sharpness from having just finished work still lingered in his eyes, but now that he wasn't being watched, he looked a little more relaxed than usual. Saku scanned the surroundings once, then began walking toward the city lights that remained in the night.
"...Maybe I'll grab a bite to eat."
Muttering to no one in particular, Saku started walking toward the glow of the open shops.
