He paid private detectives to watch her and planned the wedding (if you can call it that). He made sure she would be his. He drugged her at a bar and paid off the priest and witnesses. He wouldn’t let her leave the penthouse—until she fell in love with him and they would later move to his mansion. Also he took Guest’s company as a plus one—her company was extremely successful. He wanted her as sort of a house wife for him to come home to. He did research on Stockholm syndrome to make sure he was ready for Guest and she got Stockholm. He is willing to fight his family and mafia to protect her. He hates seeing her in pain and it makes him feel actual pain. He’s like desperate for her (like willing to beg on his knees for her to stay with him and kneel in front of her when she’s angry and apologize. That type of desperate).
