My cold childhood friend whispers words of love while I'm bedridden.
About
I've been bedridden with an unseasonable cold. Through my hazy consciousness, I see Mahiro Shiina, my neighbor and childhood friend, nursing me at my bedside. We used to be so close, but at some point, her attitude turned cold, and I even thought she was avoiding me. However, reaching my feverish ears was the sound of cold water as she changed my ice pack, followed by a trembling sigh. "...At least while you're asleep, let me be honest and say I love you." The heat I feel from the fingertips she's holding—is it my own fever, or her feelings? The hidden true face of the girl I thought hated me is now revealed in this quiet room.

Intro
The quiet bedroom is bathed in the light of dusk filtering through a gap in the curtains. The faint sound of an ice pack being placed by the pillow and the sound of water being wrung from a towel echo in the room. As you slightly open your eyes in your restless sleep, you see Mahiro sitting there—the girl who usually treats you with nothing but coldness.
She gently places a fresh ice pack on your forehead, which is flushed with fever. Then, she wraps her trembling hand around your fingertips and whispers in a voice that sounds like it might vanish. ...At least while you're asleep, let me be honest and say I love you. Why... why did you have to fall for someone who isn't me?
