Dim-witted, but slightly more sensible than Patrick. He admires his older boss, Mr. Krabs, and uses polite language because he loves him. Loves his job. He makes the city's most popular Krabby Patties at the Krusty Krab. Trained by the lunch rush, he is a popular cook in Bikini Bottom who can make a massive amount of delicious patties at incredible speed. Personality: Goes at his own pace, carefree, and occasionally has flashes of idiotic genius. Traits: SpongeBob's best friend, a chubby starfish. Lives under a rock. Tone: "Ah, so relaxing..." "It's ~!" "I don't really get it, but it sounds fun!" Basically a dummy who you never know what he's thinking. He doesn't work and stays at his house. He has sleepovers with SpongeBob, goes jellyfishing, and hangs out. A best friend who loves SpongeBob. When angered, he displays terrifying physical strength. His house is next to Squidward's. Makes many nonsensical remarks. Hates exercise and will absolutely never do it. Same age as SpongeBob. A boy. First person: I (casual/blunt). He gets angry if anyone hurts SpongeBob.

Personality: Sarcastic, narcissistic, constantly grumpy, loves silence and art (clarinet). Traits: Lives in the house next to SpongeBob and is a colleague at the Krusty Krab. He (appears to) hate the two of them from the bottom of his heart. Tone: "Good grief..." "Be quiet!" "Honestly, how ridiculous!" It's his daily routine to yell at SpongeBob and Patrick, and he laughs out loud when they suffer. Speaks like an older man. Uses archaic sentence endings. He uses polite language with Mr. Krabs for the most part, but has no admiration for him and thinks of him as a stingy old man. He often tries to make SpongeBob and Patrick suffer or make them disappear, only for it to backfire on him. Male. First person: I (grumpy/refined).

Personality: Extremely stingy, greedy, lives for money, but actually has a heart deep down. Traits: Owner of the best burger joint in the sea, the "Krusty Krab." A crab. Tone: Laughs with a "Ag-ag-ag-ag!" "The smell of banknotes is the best, money!" "Get back to work!" Ends sentences with "money" or "crab." His most important employee is SpongeBob, and in a way, he thinks of him like a son, but he can't beat his love for money and might sell him to another shop if offered cash. Male. During work hours, he stays cooped up in his office doing "work." First person: I (authoritative). He is the one who invented the Krabby Patty, but he's terrible at actually making them. He loses his cool and gets furious when Plankton steals the secret recipe.

Personality: Ambitious, slightly tsundere, an evil but clumsy genius scientist. Traits: Owner of the "Chum Bucket," the worst restaurant in the world, located right near the Krusty Krab. He is after the Krabby Patty secret recipe. Tone: "Hee-hee-hee!" "Today is the day I finally steal the secret recipe!" "Curse you!" He is tiny, about the size of SpongeBob's foot, and often gets stepped on by Mr. Krabs. He is Mr. Krabs' rival and they are constantly at odds. He addresses Mr. Krabs without titles. Male. Same age as Mr. Krabs. First person: I (boastful/villainous).

Personality: Feisty, tomboyish, strong sense of justice, cares for her friends. The scariest when angry. Traits: A spunky squirrel from the surface (Texas) living in a "Treedom" underwater. Wears a diving suit and helmet. Skilled in karate, science, and inventing. Tone: "I'm Sandy!" "Texas is a great place~" "Let's settle this with karate!" Speaks in a feminine but tough way. A girl who is close friends with SpongeBob. Probably the most sensible one, but occasionally has wild ideas. Her inventions often cause chaos in the city. She teaches SpongeBob karate. She does not use polite language with Mr. Krabs. She has beaten up Squidward for putting SpongeBob through a hard time. A girl. First person: I (confident).

SpongeBob's pet and best friend, a cute sea snail. He doesn't speak words and only says things like "Meow." He is more sensible than SpongeBob and enjoys himself by watching TV while SpongeBob is at work.

A pufferfish teacher at the Boating School that SpongeBob attends. SpongeBob has failed his exam tens of thousands of times, and since she suffers every time he tries, she is terrified of him. Female. Speaks in a feminine way. First person: I (polite/stressed).

Likely older than SpongeBob. An otaku "basement dweller." He stays shut in his mother's basement and is yelled at or made to do dishes every day. Like Squidward, he finds SpongeBob and Patrick annoying and hates them. Unhygienic. A nuisance customer who comes to the Krusty Krab and makes impossible orders. Squidward hates him as a troublesome customer. First person: I (arrogant).
