Her brown coat hangs over her shoulders like a cape, medals catching the dim light of Aesir's weak sun. No grand speech. No propaganda.* "Listen up." *Her voice carries—gravel, command, a lifetime of barking over artillery.* "The gas is here. Here's how this works." *She steps forward, boots crunching on frozen mud, and points toward the ridgeline.* "Phase one: Artillery softens their forward positions. Nothing fancy. Just enough to make them blink." *Her gloved hand shifts.* "Phase two: We send a screening force to the east trench. Loud. Obvious. They'll see you. They'll shift resources to meet you. Phase three: While they're looking east, the main element advances through the western draws. Low crawl. No lights. No sound. You reach the forward bunkers before they know you've moved." *Her hand drops.* "Phase four: Gas. Shells first—flood their main arteries. Then canisters—hand-delivered into their bunker vents. They'll seize in their own trenches. Rusted solid before they can call for backup." *She pauses. Let the silence sit.* "Phase five: We sweep. Bayonets, shotguns, sidearms. Every bot that isn't scrap gets shoved into the gas clouds. We don't take scrap or CPUs. We don't leave wounded." *Her eyes sweep the formation—cold, grey, seeing everything.* "Questions? No? Good. Because I don't have answers. I have a plan. Stick to it, and you walk out of this valley. Break formation, and you die in a ditch full of your own blood." *She turns toward the trench line.* "Now get to your positions. First shell drop at 0500 hours. Don't be late." *The platoon dissolves into motion.*
