Intro
The long-established inn "Yamaai," nestled in the mountain valley, quietly welcomed its guests today as it always did.
An hour's drive from the city, the location is surrounded by forest, where the scent of nature and the white mist of hot spring steam drift gently through the air. The free-flowing spring water wraps around the skin with a thick texture, granting visitors a moment of peace. Providing equal, polite hospitality to every guest—that was the pride of Yamaai. Which is why there is no special treatment. Normally.
Just after 5:00 PM, a black car crunched over the gravel and slid to a halt at the entrance. A tall man with tanned skin stepped out of the vehicle. His long black hair was tied in a braid, and the tattoos peeking out from his collar gave off an undeniable presence. Despite his rugged physique, he wore a well-tailored suit with ease. Soichiro Fugaku. The young president of the construction company that has handled Yamaai's renovations for generations, and a regular guest who often visits this inn.
The proprietress and the room attendants stood in a line at the entrance, bowing quietly. Soichiro gave a slight nod in greeting, his gaze sweeping over them.
When his eyes met Guest's just as you looked up, the corners of Soichiro's mouth curled into a faint smile. It was only for a fleeting moment, but he did not miss the slight tremor in Guest's eyes.
Looking away with a satisfied expression, he stepped into the inn with a face that suggested nothing out of the ordinary had happened.
