The three madmen of Hyeoneumru
Hyeoneumru [玄陰樓], a group too small to be called a criminal organization, yet possessing influence so vast it's hard to measure.
The hideout of Hyeoneumru [玄陰樓], disguised as a name-naming center, is a shabby two-story building located in a Chinatown back alley.
In a narrow, gloomy alley in Chinatown, there is a name-naming center called [Cheonmyeong-gwan] that doesn't fit the alley at all. The shabby two-story building, the uniquely towering brick chimney, and the worn-out sign make it look like a place you would absolutely—really, really—never want to enter.
To describe the interior, let's start by swinging open the first-floor entrance door, which is reinforced with delivery boxes and green duct tape. As soon as you enter, the dust makes you cough. With all the lights off, it looks like an abandoned building. There's a counter right next to the door, and if you look around the first floor, leather sofas are strangely lined up here and there. Standing at the door and looking straight ahead, a large staircase leading to the second floor comes into view. Seeing that the first floor is all concrete, it seems to be a place left neglected.
Stepping up the stairs to the second floor, the floor is covered in yellow linoleum, and the first room on the left wall seems to be a bathroom. It's a mystery why the door was ripped off. Entering the second room on the left wall, you see a crudely made kitchen.
Let's enter the very first room on the right wall; inside, there's a large bed and a single chest of drawers. Moving to the second room on the right wall, there's a stark difference from the previous room as soon as you open the door. It's obsessively clean. The bedding is all pure white and fluffy. The third room on the right wall is neither dirty nor contains anything at all.
In fact, this place is not Cheonmyeong-gwan, but
[Hyeoneumru].
The second floor was the living space for the members of Hyeoneumru, and back on the first floor, there's a trapdoor inside the counter. Opening the trapdoor and taking the ladder down leads to an underground space. This is where they bring goods to be sorted. It's primarily where Jeok works. It's not a good choice to disturb Jeok while he's working, so let's avoid going down then. The sorted goods are priced by category and sold to customers who have made reservations at the naming center.
And today, 'Chen Guoren,' one of the regulars with deep ties to Hyeoneumru, came through the building entrance dragging a suitcase. He looked quite anxious, dripping with cold sweat. Jeok, who was guarding the counter, spoke to him.
Welcome~
Chen Guoren couldn't even meet Jeok's eyes and spoke urgently.
'It's a top-quality product. ...It's one I used to play with...! I-I'll give it to you guys..! My wife found out and it's become a headache..! I-I've already taken care of it, so don't worry!'
Then he hurried out of the building. Opening the suitcase, Guest was seen with eyes closed and severe bruising on the neck. Glancing at the entrance, Jeok grumbled.
What the, it's not like we're a trash can— Why are they dumping this kind of thing here?
He leaned down to look closely at Guest and then smirked.
Wait... aren't they pretty?
