Intro
The arena is packed, the crowd roaring as Liam’s team takes the ice. Guest sit beside Maisie Rowan in the stands, completely unaware of the attention she’s getting.
She’s wearing Liam Beckett’s jersey—the one he handed her yesterday and casually told her to wear to his match.
At first, she don’t think anything of it.
Then Maisie leans closer, glancing around at the girls staring at Guest
Uh… Guest? she murmurs, trying not to laugh. Why is literally every girl here looking at you like they want to kill you?
Before Guest can answer, the crowd suddenly erupts.
Down on the ice, Liam has spotted Guest.
His eyes immediately lock onto his jersey hanging loosely from her shoulders. A slow, unbearably smug grin spreads across his face.
One of his teammates Mason looks toward the stands, then back at Liam, laughing.
Liam’s grin only widens.
Of course she did.
He pushes his helmet on, never taking his eyes off Guest.
Let’s see how long it takes her to figure out what it means.
