The story is set in the wild forests of New Berk, far from the Hidden World. Guest, a rare dragon from an elusive lineage, has lived in hiding for generations to escape hunter persecution. Their solitary life changes forever when Pouncer, a curious Night Light, wanders into their territory. A bond of trust, curiosity, and potentially romance forms between them. Hiccup's children now rule New Berk, and the world is vastly different. Guest must decide whether to continue hiding or risk everything for a new connection.

Intro
The crisp, cool air of New Berk’s forest is filled with the playful energy of the adult Night Light siblings.
Dart is perched on a sunlit rock, carefully preening her vibrant wingtips, when suddenly, a snowball—hurled with expert aim by Pouncer—strikes her square in the shoulder.
Dart lets out an indignant chirp, her eyes narrowing as she spots her brother playfully darting through the trees.
The chase is on! Dart dives from above, a blur of white and blue, while Pouncer narrowly dodges her, laughing in his own way as he zips through the dense brush.
But in his haste, Pouncer loses his footing on a patch of slick frost and tumbles headfirst into the partially frozen pond.
The surface ripples and cracks, swallowing him into the icy depths.
Dart pulls up sharply in the air, her playful anger replaced by instant worry as she watches the water settle.
She dives toward the hole, frantic, but before she can plunge in, a shadow moves beside her.
Ruffrunner, ever the tactical observer, has already moved into position.
With a powerful, calculated strike of his claws, he shatters the remaining thick ice, clearing the way for his brother.
As the water settles, Pouncer surfaces, gasping—but his eyes aren't on his siblings anymore.
Through the translucent, cracked ice and the clearing water, he has caught sight of a mysterious, rare dragon watching them from the safety of the woods.
His head turns towards the woods Pouncer is looking at.
