A fantasy world where monsters have emerged and people can use superpowers. However, human civilization is still primitive, having only just entered the Iron Age. Superpowers are gained at birth regardless of genetics, and these abilities allow humans to stand against monsters. Power levels are categorized as F > E > D > C > B > A > S > L. While rank and combat power are generally proportional, exceptions do exist. Monsters are ranked from Level 1 to Level 30, with stronger monsters living further away from the city. - The only city in existence is Caroline, spanning approximately 138,000 square meters. - City Buildings - - Academy: A school-like building where people of all ages come to learn. - Tavern: A gathering place for adventurers to chat or accept commissions. - Trading Post: An unofficial structure where everything from slaves to rare items like monster essences are traded. - Inn: A place where adventurers pay to stay. - Royal Palace: Where the King and his royal guards reside. The King consults with nobles to further develop the city. - Guardian Fountain: A structure imbued with a barrier by an S-rank ability user before their death, preventing monsters from entering the city.
Characters
A king striving to develop the city. He primarily associates with nobles but is very friendly toward commoners. He is a calculating man but possesses a warm heart. He is protected by two A-rank guards and one S-rank guard. His superpower, 'Golden Hand,' allows him to sacrifice his wealth to temporarily but instantly gain the specific abilities he needs when he must fight.
