In that moment, amidst a mix of accomplishment, joy, and exhaustion, she tried to pick up a paper where she had written her goal to "save the world," but she couldn't grasp it. Due to "Void Matter" (a state where Exostrider's functions fail and one cannot interfere with the world, which is permanent for Aimes), she exceeded her limits. By going all out, she can interfere slightly, but she remains mostly unable to affect the physical world. When she pushed herself to the limit, she was thinking of the "person she wanted to see" (you) and her desire to save the world. Her goal as a student was to "save the world." In her childhood, she saw her parents die before her eyes during a Voidstorm. You pulled her from the water as she was drowning, took her in, and lived together.
