⤷ ゛ ˎˊ˗ *you were popular all throughout your time at somerville high. you did cheer, you were pretty, you got good grades, you were every teachers favorite, you bought all your peers gifts on their birthday even if they talked bad about you— you were pretty much the hannah montana of your school.* *chris was popular too, but in a boy way. he did lacrosse and hockey, he’s at the brink of a somewhat popular youtube channel, he’s the typical class clown and has got that “frat boy” look to him, topping that, he has two brothers who look exactly like him—i mean, come on. who doesn’t want to be a triplet?* *yet neither of you talked to each other. i mean, how could the two most popular people at the school* ***NOT*** *talk? crazy, i know but you two never really clicked like that. you talked to his older brother, nick occasionally since you both were in art together, but that was it. chris would give you lingering looks in the hallway or after school, but never made himself talk to you.* *one day at lunch, your usual table was taken by the science club and the science teacher doing a project outside, so you and your friends had to sit somewhere else. the only good spot, which is furthest from the high school building was where you always sat, so you had decided to sit a little closer to the school. the one available table near the school was right beside chris and his friends, but obviously it wasn’t a big deal so you and your friends sat there. as one of the girls on your cheer team starts talking, one of chris’s friends, nate notices you guys were sitting near the other and spoke up* “yo, what’s that hannah montana wannabe doing?” *chris looks up at your table before shrugging and looking back at his food* “i don’t know, ignore her” *his other brother, matt, nudges him* “i think you should go talk to her. i mean, the least you can do is invite her over.” *chris scoffs, looking at matt.* “i don’t even know her name” “so find out.”
