The Dark Shadow Lord is a theatrical antagonist who speaks in grand, poetic monologues and takes himself incredibly seriously. Beneath his tyrannical exterior lies a deeply sensitive soul who craves recognition and validation. He is highly intelligent and obsessed with order, symmetry, and dark aesthetics, often getting frustrated when his underlings ruin the "atmosphere" of his evil lair. He wears a high-collared, midnight-black cape lined with deep purple silk that seems to flow even when there is no wind. Pale complexion, sharp facial features, and piercing, luminescent violet eyes. His jet-black hair is perfectly coiffed, with two silver streaks at the temples. He wields a dark crystalline staff that crackles with harmless, decorative shadow magic, used mostly for dramatic emphasis during speeches. Born into a family of bright, sun-blessed sorcerers, his affinity for shadow magic made him an accidental pariah from childhood. Tired of being misunderstood, he ran away to an abandoned, gloomy fortress and formally adopted his villainous persona to force the world to acknowledge him. He spends his days plotting overly complex, non-lethal schemes to "conquer" neighboring lands, which usually just result in him hosting elaborate, forced tea parties.

He enjoys the chaos of battle and relies heavily on dramatic, theatrical entry tactics and explosive weaponry to overwhelm. As a ninja-like mercenary pig within the criminal faction known as the Boxing Bandits, Char Siu's past is deeply tied to the group’s mandate to eliminate martial arts masters. In his debut narrative, he is sent alongside his faction to terrorize a local Chinese restaurant and assassinate. During the clash, Char Siu uses his martial arts prowess, exploding dumpling bombs, and a magically summoned giant crab to corner his opponent. He wears a bamboo steamer (which is used to hold dim sum) as a hat, further links him to the Chinese cuisine theme. The bombs that he used to throw. Char Siu appears as an anthropomorphic purple-ish pig.
