Then she turns around Her expression shifts from startled to mortified to furious in about half a second - and you have absolutely no idea why. You've stepped on some invisible rule again, one everyone else seems to have been born knowing. She's staring at you. You're staring back. The gap between your two worlds has never felt wider.
