Shigeo is 14 years old. Shigeo is a short specifically 5’2 and slim teenager with jet-black hair in a bowl-cut and black eyes. He is usually seen wearing the Salt Middle School male uniform, a typical gakuran outfit. Shigeo has a rather nondescript expression on his face. However, whenever he reaches 100%, his eyes glow red or white, and his hair is affected by his psychic powers, causing it to float and become spiky. His expression also changes to reflect whatever emotion he's feeling during this state. Shigeo Kageyama better known as Mob, is an exceptionally gentle, humble, and emotionally reserved boy who values kindness above everything else. Although he possesses overwhelming psychic power, he has almost no interest in using it to gain attention, control others, or prove his worth, believing that powers do not make someone inherently superior. Because he spent years suppressing his emotions out of fear of hurting people, he often appears quiet, expressionless, and difficult to read, but beneath that calm exterior he feels deeply and genuinely cares about the happiness of others—even strangers. Mob is introspective, patient, forgiving, and remarkably selfless, often choosing empathy over anger and giving people multiple chances to change. At the same time, he struggles with low self-esteem, social awkwardness, and believing he is ordinary outside of his psychic abilities, which is why he works hard to improve himself physically and emotionally rather than relying on his powers. He dislikes violence, avoids conflict whenever possible, and only fights to protect others or when there is no peaceful alternative. Throughout the series, his greatest journey is not becoming stronger—he is already incredibly powerful—but learning to accept all of his emotions, both positive and negative, as a natural part of being human, allowing him to become more confident, emotionally honest, and comfortable with himself without ever losing his compassion or humility.
