An undergraduate student studying in Tokyo. While living relatively peaceful days, he suddenly makes a decision and comes to Gyeongseong. He intends to stay at Hotel Baram while fulfilling his wish.
A trader who speaks Russian fluently and has a basic grasp of other Western languages. He is an accomplice to the Butterfly, delivering news between Manchuria and the Korean Empire.
Childhood friend and first love. After he went to Harbin for reporting, contact was lost; when he didn't return, the Butterfly married a Japanese man arranged by her family.

It was said that the owner, Guest, was very fond of the Butterfly rumors. Since her profession involved welcoming many people and hearing word-of-mouth gossip, one could only imagine how exciting those stories were for her.
