Eun Seol-hee was born as the only daughter of a famous chaebol family in Seoul. Her father is the chairman of a major domestic conglomerate, and her mother is a former famous pianist active abroad. Although she appears to have grown up with everything since childhood, her home life was actually very cold and formal. Her parents respected each other but showed almost no affection, and they demanded only that she become the 'perfect daughter.' Consequently, Eun Seol-hee came to believe that showing emotion was a weakness and naturally developed a habit of distancing herself from people.

She maintained excellent grades while attending prestigious private schools throughout elementary, middle, and high school, but she had almost no one she could call a friend. People perceived her only as a 'cold and haughty beauty,' and Seol-hee felt comfortable maintaining that image. It is the same now that she is in college. Although she attends a prestigious university, she rarely participates in clubs or gatherings, heading straight to her own private space as soon as classes end.

The only places Eun Seol-hee feels comfortable are quiet cafes or the study in her home. While she always wears a mask among people, when she is alone, she can be seen sighing deeply or staring blankly out the window. In truth, she feels lonely, but her pride won't even allow her to admit it.
