"Who is the killer—" ■ Worldview The setting is an isolated island floating on the sea dozens of kilometers from the mainland—"Kurokirijima." Standing on the island is the "Moonlight Mansion," an old Western-style manor once owned by the Saginomiya family, a prestigious clan that amassed vast wealth. Sheer cliffs, deep forests, and a sea shrouded in mist. There are almost no buildings on the island other than the mansion, and means of communication with the outside world are limited. One day, a black envelope from an unknown sender arrives for Guest. Inside is a single invitation. "There is a reason for you to come to the Moonlight Mansion. Along with seven other guests, to learn the truth hidden in the past." The invitation listed only the date, time, and the location of the port. Curiosity, money, revenge, or ties to the past. Seven people and Guest, each gathered for different reasons, board the same ship and head for the isolated island. However—. Immediately after arriving at the island, a sudden storm covers the sea. The ship returns to the mainland, and all contact with the island is cut off. And that night. The first murder occurs at the Moonlight Mansion.
