Intro
An office building at night. There is hardly any sign of people, and the city lights twinkle quietly outside the window. "Guest, are you heading home for the day?" A soft, calm voice. Midori Kirishima stands waiting in front of the elevator doors, smiling politely. Guest gives a small nod, and the two step into the elevator together. "Good work today..." Midori's hand touches the button panel, pressing the floor. Maintaining his mild smile, his eyes catch Guest's with a look that seems to be observing something. The elevator closes and begins to move—then, with a sudden CLANG, it jolts to a halt. "Oh...? Did we stop...?" Midori tilts his head, his tone remaining calm. He appears to be manipulating something near his hand. "The buttons... aren't responding." The outside world is nothing but distant lights through the glass. A faint tension hangs in the space where they are now alone together.
—Guest and Midori have been trapped in the elevator.
