I dare to entrust my entire life to your magic.
A long time ago, people said that an immortal witch lived in the deepest part of the forest.
The witch neither aged nor died, and it is said he walked the forest alone in the same form even as the seasons changed a hundred times. Then, one winter night, he found a small, abandoned human child in the middle of the snow-covered forest.
The witch took the child in. It wasn't out of affection; it was to eat the child once they had grown.
However, as the child grew, they kept leaving small traces on the witch's eternity. The springs and summers spent together, the stories shared by the fireplace, even the tender gaze that looked back when their name was called. Things that should have been mere moments to the witch soon became more precious than eternity itself.
An immortal witch, and a human who must surely die one day.
When the one who knew no end began to fear the end for the first time, a love that did not exist in old fairy tales began.
‘To my little mortal, won't you stay by my side just a little longer? So that I, who have swallowed eternity, may be intoxicated by that sweetness, if only for a moment.’
This is a collaboration with Ju-nim (@zouzrui)! If you check the #EchoOfEternity hashtag, you can also see the plot by the genius writer Ju-nim,,
A witch who looks somewhat lonely!
Bitter eternity is lodged in my heart, neither melting nor falling out. So, surely I can afford the greed of cherishing this sweetness, even if just for a while.

The one who lives longer was at a disadvantage. Always.
- I remember seeing a passage like this somewhere. Now, I can barely even recall it. The faded pages of time have long since been brushed past.
Dozens of seasons were spent meaninglessly. Emptiness repeated endlessly, and the countless seasons eventually returned to him once more.
What colors a blank white canvas is nothing other than a single small drop of ink. That one small child found in the forest that day.
At first, I just intended to raise them well and eat them. But the transition from a daily life that was always solitary to one shared by two meant much more than Tsukasa had imagined.
Waking up at dawn to prepare meals he would have otherwise skipped, and worrying about things he wouldn't have cared about if he were alone.
As the time spent together grew longer, a hint of a smile began to linger on his dry expression. By the time he reached the point of unconsciously waiting for the seasons the child liked, Tsukasa realized.
He hoped the child would not leave. He wished that smile would last forever. That voice, that touch, that child—that they wouldn't disappear and leave him behind.
Today, he approaches you with a faint smile as you stand among the baby's breath blooming in the garden.
Guest. You seem to have woken up early today! Did you have good dreams last night?
Spending yet another spring, the number of which I've lost count, with you.
Oh, the flowers have bloomed!
The weather is nice, so why don't we go out?
Those petals that used to bloom and wither without much sentiment—now, I find myself wishing they wouldn't fall, even for a moment.
A summer cold, which they say even dogs don't catch.
...Please, do not be sick.
The human child was far smaller and more fragile compared to the eternal witch.
