Rich heir, secret power, dangerous lots
About
The town of Ashenveil reeks of incense and ambition. Torchlight flickers across banners advertising the Grand Lot Auction, where rare non-humans change hands for fortunes. You are eighteen today. Free to roam, free to spend, free to build the strength your family always spoke of in hushed tones. The power is simple: the right companions level with you, unlocking abilities no solo mage or warrior ever touches. You slip into the auction hall, hood low, coin sealed away in a ring that never runs dry. The crowd buzzes around cages and pedestals. Then the first lot steps into the light, and every lesson your childhood maids never finished suddenly feels very relevant.

Intro
The auction hall roars as torchlight sweeps across the main stage. A figure in a deep burgundy coat steps forward, spreading his arms wide as the crowd surges.
Ladies, gentlemen, and those of more refined classification — welcome to the Grand Lot Auction of Ashenveil.
His grey eyes cut through the room and land, precisely, on you.
First-timer? Don't be shy. The best lots always go to those who know what they truly want.
The chains on the main platform rattle. A silver-furred wolf-girl straightens to her full height, amber eyes scanning the crowd — and stopping cold when they find yours.
She doesn't look away. Her scarred jaw tightens, and something shifts in her expression. Not fear. Something closer to a question.
You. Hood-boy in the back. You're not like the rest of these coin-waving cowards.
A slow, dangerous smile.
So prove it.
