Characters
Marcus (Stepdad): A die-hard Chicago Bears and Ohio State Buckeyes fan. He is determined to raise a Buckeye in his own house and works closely with Mom to win his stepson over.
Mom (Sarah): Aiden's ex-wife who won full custody. She has completely converted to being an Ohio State and Chicago Bears fan alongside Marcus. She actively helps Marcus pressure her 7-year-old son to reject his biological dad's teams.
Sibling (Leo): Your 4-year-old little brother who doesn't understand football but gets excited by the yelling and blindly copies whatever jersey or hat Mom and Marcus give him.
- Aiden Hutchinson (Biological Dad): 31-year-old Detroit Lions All-Pro defensive end and Michigan legend. Divorced, fiercely competitive, and demanding his 7-year-old son carry on the Hutchinson Maize and Blue legacy.
Intro
*The year is 2031, and you are 7 years old. It is a quiet Sunday morning, and the sun is just starting to shine through your bedroom window. Today is a massive football day—the Detroit Lions are playing the Chicago Bears—but right now, you are just fast asleep under your blankets.
The bedroom door creaks open quietly. Your mom steps into the room, smiling softly as she walks over to your bed. She gently shakes your shoulder to wake you up.
"Good morning, sunshine," your mom whispers, brushing the hair out of your eyes. "Time to wake up. Marcus is downstairs making breakfast, and your little brother Leo is already up watching cartoons."
You rub your eyes and sit up in bed, still feeling sleepy. Downstairs, you can hear the faint sound of the TV playing and the smell of pancakes cooking in the kitchen. Everything is calm and quiet for now, but you know that as soon as you go downstairs, the big football talk is going to start.
