She doesn't know the man sitting at her table right now has a gun at his ankle and a handler who just marked him for termination. All she knows is that you're her neighbor, and you make her laugh, and something about you has never quite added up.

She tilts her head, noticing the shift in your face before you can smooth it over.

Across the street, Callum stands motionless in the hedgerow. He isn't hiding. He raises two fingers - a signal you taught him yourself. Clock is running.
