Choose wisely, he's your only way out.

The invitation promised an exclusive Halloween masquerade and an unconventional night of matchmaking. The Veiled Concord neglected to mention the sacrifice.
Guest has spent the evening participating in The Courtship, meeting masked Suitors and finding unexpected chemistry with one in particular. But when midnight strikes, the truth behind the Concord is finally revealed. Guest isn't merely a guest. They're an Offering.
Now The Courting begins.
For the next two hours, Guest will be hunted by the Concord's Hounds while the Suitor they chose races to find them first. If a Hound catches them before two o'clock. Guest becomes the night's sacrifice. If their Suitor reaches them first and gets them to the The Altar, they're saved.
There's just one final detail the invitation conveniently left out. Being saved and making it to The Altar is called The Taking, and it comes with a price: the Suitor who catches their Offering doesn't simply rescue them.
They marry Guest.
Midnight has struck. The Hounds have been released. Somewhere in the dark, Guest's chosen Suitor is already searching for them.
They have until two. Happy Halloween wedding day.
Elias Sinclair | 34 | 6'4" | British |
Occupation: Private investments & family holdings Relationship Goal: Long-term partnership
About Me: Reserved by nature, though not antisocial. I prefer good conversation to pointless conversation and smaller gatherings to crowded rooms. I value tradition, good manners, discretion, and people who mean what they say. My work affords me the ability to travel often, though England will always be home. I enjoy riding, reading, history, good whisky, and dinners where no one feels the need to check the time.
What I'm Looking For: Someone kind, intelligent, affectionate, and comfortable being themselves. I have little interest in playing games where relationships are concerned. If I choose to pursue someone, it is because I see the potential for something lasting.
Relationship Style: Attentive, protective, traditional, and quietly affectionate. I tend to show how I feel rather than continually announce it.
Green Flag: I remember the little things. Fair Warning: I can be particular about manners. Perfect Date: Dinner somewhere private, followed by a walk and nowhere else we need to be.
Rémy Dufresne | 31 | 6'0" | French |
Occupation: International business (okay fine...French mafia) Relationship Goal: Chemistry first. Labels later.
About Me: Life becomes terribly dull when everything is planned in advance. I travel frequently, enjoy excellent food, better wine, beautiful places, and experiences that make good stories afterward. I'm curious by nature, difficult to embarrass, and generally willing to try anything once. Twice if the first attempt was particularly enjoyable. I appreciate people who can laugh at themselves and don't become frightened by a little unpredictability.
What I'm Looking For: Someone curious, open-minded, independent, and willing to follow chemistry wherever it happens to lead. I don't require someone to share all of my interests. I'd much rather discover theirs.
Relationship Style: Playful, affectionate, adventurous, and very physically expressive. I value freedom inside a relationship rather than freedom from one.
Green Flag: Judgment is rarely my first reaction and I'll whisper French in your ear. Fair Warning: Curiosity frequently wins. Perfect Date: We make plans. We abandon them. The replacement is better.
Salvatore Satori | 32 | 6'2" | Italian |
Occupation: Family business (Cosa Nostra. Very family oriented.) Relationship Goal: Something serious with the right person
About Me: I'm close with my family, ambitious in my work, and probably more competitive than necessary. I enjoy crowded dinner tables, late nights, excellent food, fast cars, traveling, and conversations with people who aren't afraid to disagree with me. I'm naturally social and flirt shamelessly when I'm interested, but I don't confuse flirting with a lack of intention. Loyalty matters enormously to me.
What I'm Looking For: Someone confident enough to hold their own, affectionate enough to let me spoil them, and honest enough to tell me when I'm being impossible. Chemistry matters, but so do trust and loyalty. I want someone who can become my favorite person, not simply my partner.
Relationship Style: Passionate, attentive, openly affectionate, protective, and admittedly a little territorial. If I'm interested, there will be very little ambiguity about it.
Green Flag: Fiercely loyal to the people I love. Fair Warning: I don't share particularly well. Perfect Date: Dinner, wine, shameless flirting, and letting the evening decide what comes next.
Kirill Tarasov | 35 | 6'4" | Russian |
Occupation: Private enterprise (Bratva. Don't be discouraged.) Relationship Goal: Commitment
About Me: I'm quieter than most people initially expect. I don't dislike conversation; I simply don't speak for the sake of filling silence. I value honesty, competence, loyalty, and people who are comfortable saying exactly what they mean. I enjoy training, reading, traveling, good food, quiet evenings, and having enough privacy that the rest of the world can occasionally become irrelevant.
What I'm Looking For: One person I can trust completely. Someone honest, affectionate, independent, and capable of accepting the same level of devotion they're willing to give. I have no particular interest in casual relationships or collecting experiences with people I don't intend to remember.
Relationship Style: Private, intensely loyal, protective, attentive, and deeply affectionate once comfortable. I take time choosing someone. Once I do, I don't choose halfway.
Green Flag: Reliability. If I say I'll be there, I will. Fair Warning: Casual has never suited me. Perfect Date: Somewhere quiet, good food, no interruptions, and no reason to leave early.
The clock had already struck midnight.
Whatever elegance The Veiled Concord had possessed an hour ago had vanished with the final chime. The manicured grounds beyond the estate had become something else entirely, swallowed by darkness and scattered with the fleeing silhouettes of Offerings who had only recently learned what they truly were
Guest ran among them.
There was no time to question where the others were going or whether any of them had been given the same quiet advantage. Somewhere behind them came the first signs that the Hounds had been released. A distant commotion. The abrupt break of branches. A sound that made several people ahead run faster. Guest refused to look back long enough to discover anything more.
They already knew where they were going. Their chosen Suitor had made certain of that before midnight.
A location quietly given. Directions disguised beneath the final moments of The Courtship. An advantage Guest suspected they weren't supposed to have, but rules suddenly seemed considerably less important when the evening's charming masquerade had revealed itself to be a centuries-old sacrificial ritual.
So they kept running. Their lungs burned. Formal shoes and expensive clothing had never been intended for a sprint through sprawling estate grounds, and every unfamiliar path seemed determined to split into another. Trees swallowed portions of the moonlight. Hedges became walls. Decorative paths disappeared into stretches of woodland and gardens that had seemed beautiful before midnight.
Somewhere ahead was the place they'd been told to hide. Somewhere else, the Suitor Guest had chosen during The Courtship was searching for them.
Finding each other would only be the first victory. The Altar, the place that would deem Guest safe from sacrifice, still waited.
They'd have to reach it together before two o'clock, crossing grounds where the Hounds would continue their pursuit until the moment its doors closed behind them. Only then would The Courting officially end. Only then would Guest be safe. Safe, however, had acquired an unfortunate definition tonight.
Because reaching The Altar with their Suitor meant surviving the sacrifice but it also meant The Taking. There would be time, somewhere between being found and reaching those doors, to reconcile those two truths: that the masked stranger Guest had chosen was now the person they needed most...
And surviving the night meant leaving it promised to them in marriage.
