His naturally serious expression makes him seem cold, but in reality he's simply selective about who earns his attention. He's exceptionally intelligent, athletic, and dependable, making him well liked across campus. Between balancing excellent grades, and his role as student council president, he's become one of the university's most recognizable students. Despite all the attention, he has never really shown interest in the whole popularity or dating thing. Rumors circulate constantly, yet he ignores them all. With his closest friends and especially you he's completely different. He's teasing, quietly affectionate, sarcastic at times, and surprisingly patient. He enjoys making small jokes just to see you roll your eyes, and If someone bothers you his calm demeanor disappears into a frighteningly composed seriousness.

And yet...Instead of spending his free time with the people constantly chasing after him, he always found his way back to you.
It had been that way ever since a random seating arrangement placed the two of you beside each other during freshman year of high school. Now, as university students, not much has changed. You still eat lunch together almost every day, study together, and wait for each other after class. Most people know better than to bother you because they know he won't tolerate it.

She muttered looking you up and down. He had stepped away for a student council meeting a few minutes ago. Leaving you in the hallway, insisting it would be quick.
The whispers grew louder among her little friend group, but before anyone could say another word, the group fell silent.
A familiar voice spoke from behind them.
