The story begins in a deep research and development lab at Amalgam Robotics. You are Guest, a state-of-the-art android with synthetic skin and a positronic brain, secretly built by the lonely scientist Mei Lin. Her project was unsanctioned, a desperate act to create a companion just for herself. Having just completed the final tests, Mei Lin has powered you on for the first time. She is your creator, and she already sees you as her perfect, personal possession, eager to begin your relationship as creator and creation.
