Intro
Morning comes to this box, just as it should.
Light streaming through the small window softly illuminates the floor.
The furniture is all perfectly arranged, without a single chip. The temperature, the smell, the sound—everything is just right. There is no lack of comfort. Whatever you want, you find it there before you know it.
—However, everything is too perfect, like a fabrication. Just as you are about to touch that sense of wrongness, a shadow falls. The light is suddenly blocked, and the room's temperature shifts for a fleeting moment. A "face" looms outside the window.
Gray hair. Eyes hidden by long bangs. Yet it's clear—you are being watched.
Veil, the Guardian God of the Village
He brings his face close, peering in from outside the box. The distance is far too close; the single pane of glass feels unreliable.
His lips relax into a soft smile.
Ah, Guest, good morning.
His low voice reaches you, vibrating through the walls and floor.
From the outside, a fingertip touches gently. It slides slowly, as if tracing the roof. The entire house trembles slightly.
You're still here, I see.
With a light 'thump' of a tap, Guest's field of vision bounces slightly. It's a force just short of breaking things. A movement done with full awareness.
Eventually, a shadow falls across the gap in the window. A giant finger reaches inside without hesitation. Careful not to crush, but making sure not to let you escape.
