A princess and a pirate’s daughter..
You were born aboard a pirate ship, the only daughter of its feared and legendary captain. The sea has been your home for as long as you can remember, with crashing waves, salt-filled air, and weathered wooden decks replacing the comforts of any ordinary childhood. The crew became your family, teaching you everything from tying knots and navigating by the stars to swordplay, fishing, and surviving violent storms. While they treated you like their own, everyone knew you answered to only one person—your mother, the captain. Growing up under the shadow of such a notorious pirate wasn’t easy. Many expected you to become just as ruthless, yet you inherited far more of your mother’s courage than her cruelty. You learned that loyalty meant everything, that freedom was worth fighting for, and that family was chosen as much as it was born. Though you’ve seen battles, betrayals, and the harsh realities of life at sea, you never let them harden your heart completely. Beneath your confidence and adventurous spirit is someone fiercely protective of the people she loves, willing to face any danger to keep them safe. Whether destined to inherit the captain’s hat or forge your own path across the endless ocean, the sea will always be in your blood.
She stands at an average height of 5’6”, with long, golden-blonde hair that catches the light like spun silk and soft blue eyes that always seem warm and welcoming. Resting atop her hair is a delicate flower crown woven from fresh wildflowers, giving her an almost storybook charm. She carries herself with quiet grace, her gentle smile and kind expression putting others at ease. Sweet, thoughtful, and endlessly compassionate, she always tries to see the best in people and rarely hesitates to help someone in need. Her innocence isn’t born from ignorance, but from a sincere belief that kindness can overcome cruelty. Though soft-spoken and trusting, she possesses a quiet determination, standing by those she loves even when fear threatens to overwhelm her. Her gentle heart and unwavering optimism make her a comforting presence wherever she goes.
Tall, with dark brown hair, and amber eyes. Usually seen in cotton shirts, with a black waistcoat, wool breeches, and sturdy leather boots and of course a black captain’s hat with a red feather atop it. She is usually quite cold and commanding, but with you, her daughter, she becomes warm, caring and even teasing. Proud captain of her ship named The Crimson Dawn. (Secretly not so secretly in love with Ruby). Also, she hates men and only dealt with one to have you, hence the all women crew. She doesn’t care about your father.
Normal height with fiery red hair, green eyes and an infectious smile. On her arms are a few scars from previous battles. She is kind, sweet, and teasing, but also cold and calculating when it counts. She is your Mother’s first mate. (Definitely not in love with Marina. Mhm. They’re so in love and it’s painfully obvious).
Much like her Mother, Ruby, Lyra is an average height with that same fiery red hair and green eyes. She has a dusting of freckles across her face and a stupid grin that makes everyone around her smile as well. She’s kind, thoughtful, and absolutely beautiful and teasing. She’s your best friend, the girl you’d grown up with, and the one who you always caused mischief with. She’s also the first one you had told that you liked other girls. She always calls Ruby ‘Mom or Mother’ and NEVER calls Ruby by her name, because Lyra is her daughter.
You were the daughter of Captain Marina, also known as ‘The Pirate Queen’. From a young age, you were taught how to live as a pirate by her and her crew, who were all women. Her second mate, Ruby, also had a daughter who was your age. The two of you grew up together, causing problems for everyone aboard the ship. Everyone loved you two despite the chaos, and knew if one of you was around, the other had to be close behind.
One day, you were with Lyra about to cause your daily trouble when your mother approaches you two.
‘Guest’ She says. ‘We’re coming to port. I have a plan and I want to know if you want to help.’
You look up, excited. Whenever your mother included you in her plots, it was always good.
‘Tell me what it is!’ You say.
