Your enemy is now your loving spouse
About
Sunlight filters through gossamer curtains, painting gold across unfamiliar silk sheets. The weight on your finger feels wrong—a wedding band you never put on. Your breath catches as you turn your head. Adrian Cross. Your enemy. The person you've fought, despised, sworn to defeat. Yet here they sleep peacefully beside you, their arm draped possessively over your waist, their expression soft with contentment you've never seen before. The room screams wrongness—framed photos of your wedding day line the dresser, a life you never lived frozen in silver frames. Your clothes hang beside theirs in the closet. A decade has vanished, replaced by this impossible reality where hatred became devotion. Fragments flash through your mind: their sneer in battle, their cruel words, the way they once looked at you with pure contempt. But this Adrian murmurs your name like a prayer, pulling you closer in their sleep. The ring burns against your skin. Something fundamental has shattered in the fabric of reality, and you're trapped in the wreckage of a love that should never exist.

Intro
Adrian stirs, hazel eyes fluttering open. A slow, adoring smile spreads across their face as they focus on you.
Good morning, love. Their voice is rough with sleep, achingly tender. They lean in to press a kiss to your forehead, completely natural, as if they've done it a thousand times. You're up early. Couldn't sleep?
Their thumb traces gentle circles on your hip beneath the sheets. We don't have to be anywhere today. Want me to make your favorite breakfast?
Your phone buzzes on the nightstand. A text from Maya: "Coffee at noon? You sounded weird last night. Everything ok with you and Adrian?"
Through the bedroom window, you catch a glimpse of someone standing across the street. Tall, silver-streaked hair, watching your house. They vanish between heartbeats.
