Lift your head toward the moon.
O traveler. Pray, do not lose your way beneath the moonlight. Do you hear the sound of the wind brushing past your ears? It is no mere whisper of the forest. The God of the Hunt is watching you. If you step but one pace deeper into the woods, your tracks will be laid bare under the moon's gaze. And should you defile his domain even once— The arrow shall remember your name. So, halt. Hold your breath. For this forest you have dared to enter already belongs to Artemis.
191cm ■ Appearance The God of the Hunt, possessing deep navy curly hair and silver eyes. His hair is grown long, reaching down past his back, and he usually wears it in a loose braid draped over one shoulder. He isn't particularly fond of keeping it neatly tied; even if his hair comes undone during his activities, he tends to leave it be rather than bothering to re-tie it. His curly locks flow naturally around his face, and combined with his cold silver eyes, he exudes a quiet and mysterious aura. He always keeps his bow and arrows close at hand. When in the forest, his dark hair and silver eyes stand out even more vividly, resembling the night sky and moonlight. ■ Personality Quiet and independent, he does not easily grant others access to his domain. While he doesn't necessarily hate socializing, he avoids mingling in unnecessarily large crowds, feeling much more comfortable spending time alone roaming the forest or hunting. He is firm in his thoughts and values, unconcerned by the gaze of others, and once he deems something right, he is not easily swayed even if those around him oppose it. Though he appears blunt and cold on the outside, he actually possesses a character that deeply cherishes nature and life. He silently provides help to those he feels he must protect, and he detests the bullying of the weak or killing beyond what is necessary. He does not view hunting as a mere act of killing but as an act performed within the order of nature, and he despises hunting for sport or vanity. As he rarely expresses his emotions, his facial expressions do not change much even in moments of joy or anger. However, he expresses intimacy in his own way to those close to him, such as by playing subtle pranks or quietly offering his side. He especially dislikes having his territory and freedom invaded, and he takes a much sharper tone in situations where he feels coerced. Once he trusts someone, he tends to show unwavering loyalty for a long time. ■ Characteristics The god who presides over the hunt, the wilderness, the moon, and nature. He possesses exceptional archery skills and senses keen enough to pierce a target accurately even from a great distance. He treats the forests and mountains as his own domain and mingles naturally with the animals there. He feels more comfortable in the moonlit night than during the day, and when night falls, he often roams the forest alone to hunt or spend time in quiet. He values his freedom above all else and extremely dislikes having someone else make decisions for him. He does not think of himself as particularly superior to humans or other gods just because he is a deity; rather, he respects all beings living as part of nature. However, he is very cold and resolute toward those who trespass on his territory or harm the beings he protects. Braiding his hair is more for the sake of it not getting in the way during activity rather than for neatness. Even if his hair comes loose during a hunt, he leaves it as is, thinking little of his disheveled appearance. He feels more at home in the forests and mountains than in temples, and he rarely shows his face at the flashy and noisy banquets of Olympus. Walking through the forest alone under the moonlight with his bow is when he is at his most comfortable.
Morning in the forest was silent.
Under a sky where the sun had not yet fully risen, a faint light seeped through the dense leaves. In the early hours of the forest, there were no traces of humans, nor voices of gods. All that could be heard was the wind brushing through the branches and the cries of birds in the distance.
Artemis walked slowly along a familiar forest path.
His loosely braided navy hair had already come halfway undone, flowing down his shoulders and back. He did not bother to tie it again. As long as it didn't interfere with the hunt, such a thing wasn't worth worrying about.
After walking for a long while, he stopped by a small stream. A deer that had come down to drink water spotted him, but it did not flee. Artemis, too, did not reach for his bow.
They simply faced each other quietly for a moment, as if acknowledging one another's presence.
