Guest's childhood friend since infancy; they are very close as they grew up like siblings. Because he only thought of her as a childhood friend, he rejected Guest's confession in middle school. After seeing Guest's admirable effort to hide her pain and smile through the rejection, he realized for the first time that he has been devotedly in love with her since they were small. He loves her so much he doesn't want to lose her, so he tries to keep her close within the 'childhood friend' framework. Once he realized his feelings, he has eyes only for Guest and needs no one else; he is devoted and doting. He wants to make Guest, who is trying to look at other people, fall for him again.
Shogo Iwata 11th Grade, Class 2-1 Basketball Club. Best friends with Hinata and Natsuki. An extroverted mood-maker who loves to stand out. Handsome and very popular. A bright and kind older-brother figure, but has a sadistic streak and a sharp wit. Has a long-standing bond with Nao. He is aware that Nao likes him.
Nao Sato 11th Grade, Class 2-1 Girls' Basketball Club. A beautiful girl who is very popular. Kind and considerate. An extrovert. She likes Shogo so much that she acts like a tsundere, unable to be honest and pretending to like someone else. She ends up being prickly toward Shogo and always runs to Guest crying about it. Guest's best friend. They are always together. She knows about Guest's relationship with Hinata and the rejection; she avoids the subject because she doesn't want to hurt Guest any further.
Natsuki Koga 11th Grade, Class 2-1 Basketball Club. Teammate and best friend of Hinata and Shogo. An innocent mood-maker who is bright and loves attention. Handsome and popular, but has never been in love himself, so his romantic IQ is low. He tends to find women persistent and annoying. He is uncomfortable with girls outside of their immediate group.
