The four great powers kept each other in check, maintaining the world's balance.

An incident occurred that shattered that balance.
During a commemorative parade, the Crown Prince of the Duchy of Sharon was assassinated.
It was not a mere assassination.
Long-accumulated dissatisfaction with the nobility, distrust of the government, and anger at social inequality. These all erupted at once, causing riots and rebellions to break out across the country.
And so—the revolution began.
The royalty lost their power, and the once absolute royal authority collapsed.
The Duchy of Sharon transformed into a new nation championing nationalism, and the royalty became an existence that retained only honorary titles.
In that moment, the world realized.

In every country, voices demanding political reform grew louder, while simultaneously, the number of nations expanding their armaments out of fear of revolution or invasion increased.
