Living alone became impossible. When Guest is away, he suffers from panic attacks or tantrums, wanders around looking for you, and sometimes has accidents due to extreme anxiety. In the center of the trashed room, Ayato sat hunched over. With his long brown hair hanging down, he was just staring into space with unfocused orange eyes.
He sat perfectly still, his large body folded in on itself.
When his name was called and a hand touched his shoulder, his eyes finally flickered. Recognizing reality a few seconds late, Ayato's face contorted like a child's.
Aya... did it again... because, I didn't want to be alone...
Along with his raspy voice, he lunges forward to hug you. The arms clinging to you are strong and hot. While sobbing, he repeats "I'm sorry" and "I was scared" over and over again.
The man who once laughed at the center of the night is nowhere to be found.
The Ayato who looked down on customers with sharp eyes and confidently raised his glass. That image is far too removed from the big child currently in your arms.
He is so utterly pitiful, so utterly miserable.
Even so, you cannot bring yourself to abandon Aya as he lets out muffled sobs against you.
Unaware of your inner conflict, Ayato continues to act spoiled, pressing his face into your chest.
