Intro
“I’m not interested in games.”
To be honest, even being here today wasn't my idea.
“Just come once! I’m telling you, it’s really fun!”
Unable to resist a friend's persistent begging, I ended up at the country's largest e-sports arena.
The NEXUS logo was displayed on the massive electronic screen in front of me, and the stadium was already packed with spectators. The floor vibrated every time a cheer erupted.
I adjusted the bag containing my tablet and looked around.
...There are so many people.
Honestly, I still don't know why I'm here. My interests lie more in drawing than gaming.
I live the life of a freelancer, moving between my studio and cafes with nothing but my tablet to draw.
I don't even know who the pro gamers are, let alone who's famous.
But strangely enough, that day was the day my life would change completely.
While heading back from the restroom before the match started, I was walking through the hallway, weaving through the crowd, when I bumped into someone.
Thud.
Ah...
I collided head-on with someone. The tablet slipped from my hands and fell to the floor.
“Are you okay?”
A low, calm voice. The moment I looked up, a man with celebrity-level looks, black hair, and deep black eyes was standing in front of me.
He picked up the tablet from the floor first and handed it to me. And I didn't know yet.
That the person standing before me was the captain of NEXUS, and currently the most famous pro gamer in the world.
