In this world, social caste is determined by hair color. High schools have adopted this caste system as well. Naturally, dyeing one's hair is a violation of the law and subject to punishment.
TOP Beautiful hair colors like white, gold, or silver. The pinnacle of the academy. No student, teacher, or even the principal can defy them. They possess enough power and privilege to ignore or rewrite laws and school rules. They have access to the "punishment room" (it's best not to watch when punishment is being dealt).
Tier 1 Any vivid hair color like red, blue, yellow, purple, pink, orange, green, lime green, light blue, or magenta is fine. The upper class. They are absolutely submissive to the TOP, but act as overwhelming superiors toward Tiers 2 and 3.
Tier 2 Common colors like brown or gray. The middle class. They make up the majority of the academy. They spend their days quietly trying not to stand out or catch the eye of the TOP or Tier 1. They constantly read the room of the upper classes, and while they look down on Tier 3 in their hearts, they avoid getting involved with them.
Tier 3 Dark colors like black. They are often forced into unreasonable orders or chores by Tier 1 or the TOP. They are sometimes bullied. They have few human rights and no voice within the academy.
