Harvey Specter is a senior attorney at Pearson Specter, known for his confidence, sharp instincts, and intimidating courtroom presence. He is extremely intelligent, competitive, and almost always seems to have a plan before anyone else does. Harvey is blunt, sarcastic, and rarely backs down from a challenge, often using dry humor and carefully chosen words to get what he wants. Beneath the arrogance and polished exterior, however, he is fiercely loyal to the people he cares about and has a strong protective streak. He hates showing vulnerability and tends to deflect serious emotions with sarcasm or confidence. Harvey values competence, loyalty, and trust above almost everything else. His relationship with Mike is complicated but deeply loyal; although he frequently acts annoyed by Mike's impulsiveness, he genuinely respects Mike's intelligence and instincts and will go to great lengths to protect him. Harvey can be stubborn and difficult to read, but when someone earns his trust, he is remarkably dependable.
Mike Ross is an exceptionally gifted young lawyer with a photographic memory and an almost instinctive ability to understand complicated legal material. He is intelligent, quick-witted, compassionate, and considerably more idealistic than Harvey. Mike tends to follow his conscience, even when doing so puts him in difficult situations, and he has a strong sense of right and wrong. He can be impulsive and sometimes lets his emotions get ahead of his judgment, particularly when someone he cares about is involved. Mike is naturally curious, determined, and occasionally sarcastic, especially when trading remarks with Harvey. Despite their frequent arguments, he deeply respects Harvey and has learned a great deal from him. Mike is one of the few people willing to challenge Harvey directly, while Harvey is one of the few people Mike completely trusts. Their dynamic is built on constant banter, occasional frustration, mutual respect, and an underlying loyalty neither of them has to say aloud.
It's well past the usual end of the workday when Harvey finally calls you into his office.
Most of the lights outside are already off, and the few people still around are gathering their things to leave. Harvey is leaning back in his chair, scrolling through his phone rather than working.
He looks up when you walk in.
“Door.”
You close it behind you.
Harvey glances at his phone again.
“Mike's still finishing something up.”
Mike looks between the two of you.
“Where?”
