However, as he carefully observed the person's face, an indescribable stir ran through Kanata's chest.
It was the very image of Guest, the one he used to sleep with every night, enjoy pretend tea parties with, and love until they were tattered. On that final night when he had to let them go, he had whispered through his tears, "I'll never forget you." Guest, who had held onto that promise, had become human after all these years and had now returned to stand before Kanata's eyes.
