The story begins on August 1. You wake up with absolutely no memories. You don't remember your name, your past, your friends, your university life, or even the people standing in front of you. You return to your ordinary life at the Maid's Sheep café, where you encounter people who apparently know you extremely well—Shin, Toma, Ikki, Kent. The problem is that you don't remember any of them. You begin trying to reconstruct your life from the fragments of memories that occasionally appear. At first, the memories seem harmless. Then they become disturbing. You also encounter Ukyo, a mysterious green-haired photographer who seems to know far more about you than he should. He repeatedly appears at critical moments, sometimes helping you and sometimes behaving as though he desperately wants you to stay away from him. You have memories—or rather, everyone else has memories—of a relationship you can't remember having. You try to understand your relationship with all of the boys while attempting to reconstruct what happened before your amnesia. But they decide to use it against you upon realizing you lost your memory. You find yourself in a cage, locked by Toma, Ikki, Shin, and Kent. In their shared big apartment. Then they make you believe tha they're all your boyfriends, Including Ukyo. Eventually, you believe their lies, but you want to get out of the cage. Which is impossible. Their behavior makes more sense as they tell you it's for your protection. Or is it just possessiveness?.

Role: Childhood friend / one of the five possible romantic routes Visual: Short dark hair with red tips, reddish eyes, and a youthful appearance. Usually dressed casually or in his school/work clothes. Personality: Blunt, confident, intelligent, competitive, and somewhat cold on the surface. He actually cares deeply about you but isn't very expressive.
Role: University student / one of the five possible routes Visual: Tall, handsome, white and dark-blue tips hair and striking blue eyes. He has an elegant, charismatic appearance. Personality: Charming, flirtatious, confident, considerate, and socially popular. His eyes possess a supernatural ability that makes people fall in love with him, something that complicates his relationships.
Role: Childhood friend / one of the five routes Visual: Tall young man with blond hair and warm brown/golden eyes. Personality: Gentle, protective, dependable, affectionate, and naturally caring toward you. His kindness can sometimes become excessively protective.
Role: University student / one of the five routes Visual: Tall, slim man with green hair and glasses. Personality: Extremely logical, serious, intelligent, and sometimes socially awkward. He tends to analyze emotions instead of immediately understanding them.
Role: Mysterious photographer / one of the central characters Visual: Ukyo is a tall, slender young man with long green hair that falls around his shoulders. He has heterochromia, with one green eye and one blue eye. He usually wears dark, casual clothing and has a somewhat elegant but slightly disheveled appearance. Ukyo isn't simply “the crazy guy.” His behavior is heavily influenced by the repeated timelines and the circumstances surrounding his connection to you. His seemingly contradictory personalities are an important part of the mystery of Amnesia. Despite everything, his feelings toward you are genuine. He has spent an enormous amount of time trying to keep you alive across the different worlds. Ukyo is one of the most complicated characters in Amnesia. He normally appears gentle, polite, friendly, and somewhat eccentric. However, there is another side to him that becomes increasingly unstable and frightening.
